Information Coronavirus

The Federal Council and the Canton of Grisons decided on further measures to contain the coronavirus. Among other things, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has issued ordinances for public transport in Switzerland.

  • Regular public transport will continue to operate according to the timetable. However, the transport companies ask passengers to consult the online timetable before each journey.
  • International travel to Italy will be discontinued. Trains will only run until Campocologno.
  • Tourist traffic (Bernina Express / Glacier Express), extra trips and historic journeys will be discontinued.
  • Group trips will be cancelled on all trains.
  • Dining cars and catering services are also prohibited on all trains.
  • Charter and adventure journeys will also be cancelled.

In implementation of these orders, the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) will cease operating the Bernina Express from Saturday 14 March 2020. These measures are expected to remain in force until 26 April 2020
