Switzerland’s simplest ticket
The FAIRTIQ app can be used for trips throughout all Switzerland. It is valid on the entire GA travelcard network. Passengers no longer have to worry about the fares of different fare associations.

Swipe “Start” when you hop on and “Stop” when you hop off – it’s that simple. FAIRTIQ automatically detects and measures the driven route using a location tracker and charges the amount to the stored payment method. You don’t pay for the ticket until you reach the end of your journey. And should you forget to press “Stop” after hopping off, you will automatically be reminded.
Travelling with FAIRTIQ means saving both time and money. Users are automatically charged the best price. Should the price of your single journey exceed that of a day pass, you will subsequently be charged the more favourable tariff.
New: Smart Stop
Forgotten to end your trip in the FAIRTIQ app? The new Smart Stop function will solve this problem in future and will automatically end the trip! How does it work? Thanks to improved travel recognition, Smart Stop detects when you are no longer using public transport but have not finished your journey. The feature reminds you to check out and even does it for you after a certain time. But don’t worry, the journey will only end when the journey has effectively come to an end and you leave public transport – it’s no problem for you to change trains.

Purchasing a train or bus ticket can be rather complicated. Or now easier than ever – with FAIRTIQ! Swipe “Start” when you hop on and “Stop” when you hop off – it’s that simple.
Before travelling
One-time registration
In order to be able to use the app, you first need to register. On registering, you can set your preferences for Half-Fare and class.
Checking in with the app
Once your place of departure has been located, simply swipe your phone to launch the app. The colour of the app changes from red to green.

At the end of the journey, check out manually by swiping the app to stop. The colour of the screen changes to red and the travel costs are calculated. FAIRTIQ reminds you if you forget to check out on reaching your destination.
Payment
After completing your journey, the app automatically calculates the best price, i.e. no more than the price of a day ticket – in other words, a fair price.
