Passengers with a handicap

Barrier-free travel

The Rhaetian Railway does everything it can to make travelling by train as pleasant an experience as possible for people with impaired mobility. For example, by offering reduced fares and providing direct assistance.

Concessions

Disabled passengers can purchase the GA travelcard and the BÜGA for 1st or 2nd class at a reduced price. You can order the GA travelcard for passengers with a disability (GA IV) online or with an order form. All documents that you need to present at a sales point to purchase a GA travelcard or BÜGA for disabled passengers can be found on the swisspass.ch or invia.ch website.

With the accompanying travelcard, an accompanying person and/or a guide dog or assistance dog or both travel free of charge on Swiss transport companies participating in the Half-Fare travelcard scheme.

Barrier-free travel

The Rhaetian Railway’s busiest stations have barrier-free access and can be used independently. Assistance is available at some stations. The following map provides an overview of the RhB stations and their barrier-free use:

In the case of stations that cannot be used independently, advance booking is required. If you have any questions or would like to request this service, please contact the SBB Call Center Handicap on 0800 007 102.

Detailed information on barrier-free travel can be found on the SBB website under Travel planning for accessible travel.
