A Capricorn railcar, featuring the distinctive design of Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ), is currently operating on the RhB network. At the same time, a VBZ tram in RhB design is travelling through Zurich. The occasion is this year’s Sechseläuten, at which the Swiss canton of Graubünden is appearing as the guest canton. The two public transport companies wish to celebrate their bond on this occasion, each with a special vehicle in the other transport company’s livery. This brings Zurich’s urban lifestyle to the mountains and, at the same time, a touch of Graubünden to the city on the Limmat.

VBZ design at the RhB
The Capricorn railcar, wrapped in the VBZ design, really stands out along the RhB tracks. The familiar blue and white of the VBZ adds a splash of colour to the mountainous landscape of the Swiss canton of Graubünden. This contrast is particularly striking on viaducts or in open valley sections.

The specially wrapped Cobra tram, sporting the RhB design, brings a touch of the Swiss canton of Graubünden to Zurich. Travelling in the striking red of the Rhaetian Railway, it adds a surprising splash of colour to the cityscape and highlights the bond between the city on the Limmat and the mountains of Graubünden.
