Certifications

High standards for sustainability and quality

At Rhaetian Railway, quality is not just a slogan. It is an important part of our corporate culture. To ensure that you can rely on us for sustainable travel, we regularly have our measures certified in accordance with international standards.

Our management system is certified in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ensures high quality. The ISO 3834-2:2005 certification “Fusion welding of metallic materials” supports compliance with the requirements in the technical field.

With ISO 45001:2018 certification, we are strengthening safety awareness within the company and thus complementing RhB’s occupational health and safety management system.

The ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system certification certifies that RhB uses natural resources responsibly and protects the environment.

Rhaetian Railway is part of Switzerland Tourism’s “Swisstainable” programme. That means: we are committed to continuously improving our offering, processes and services.

We had our environmental performance, our approach to labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement assessed by EcoVadis. The Bronze seal provides motivation for us to continue.

We have had ourselves evaluated by the Rail Sustainability Index, which assesses railway companies around the world in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The B score shows that we are on the right track.
