When the historical steam engine G 4/5 108 winds its way through the wintry Engadin, a journey begins as if from times gone by. On 4 January and 30 December 2026, railway history will be brought to life between Samedan and Zernez – also ideal for families. During the lunch break in Zernez, for example, it is worth visiting the typical Engadin village or the Center da Sport for a touch of ice skating or family swimming.
If you prefer a more leisurely ride, reserve a seat in first class in the belle époque coupé – including an aperitif or coffee and pastries from the Historic catering team. A winter’s day full of steam, nature and the joy of discovery.
