Between 8 July and 6 August 2026, you can travel in the nostalgic Bernina first-generation railcar from Pontresina via Alp Grüm to Poschiavo and back on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The historical trip takes you up to the Ospizio Bernina, past Cavaglia and through Valposchiavo – with spectacular views of Lago Bianco, the Morteratsch Glacier and the steep Montebello Curve. Enjoy this unique journey through time through 100 years of railway tradition at a normal ticket price and experience the Bernina Line from its most nostalgic side.

The idyllic journey aboard the vintage Bernina rolling stock gives you a spectacular taste of history. It was in operation almost every day on the Bernina Line for an impressive 100 years. The first-generation railcars were built between 1908 and 1911. They are now travelling on the Bernina Line in summer – an experience for the whole family.
