Frequently asked questions
When a product goes on sale, a huge number of customers access the online shop at the same time. The waiting room helps to manage the number of simultaneous accesses and ensure the system remains stable. This helps to minimise the risk of overloads and technical faults.
The waiting time depends on the number of visitors present at any one time and can vary considerably. The current waiting time is displayed in the waiting room. We ask for your understanding that longer waiting times are possible, particularly immediately after the shop opens.
No. As long as you keep the browser window open and do not refresh the page, you will retain your place in the queue.
Due to the high number of visitors, loading times may be longer whilst the shop is open. We recommend that you do not refresh the page whilst you are making your booking and that you please be patient.
Demand for the popular panoramic trains is particularly high for certain travel dates and train services. Even though individual journeys may sell out quickly, there are usually plenty of other travel dates available.
Yes. Once the shop has opened, the available travel dates will remain bookable as long as places are available. This is not a one-off sales day.
Due to the high demand expected, we recommend booking via the online shop. Bookings by telephone between 14 and 16 October 2026 will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances (redeeming vouchers, passengers disabled, etc.) and may involve waiting times.
Should you encounter any technical problems, we recommend that you wait a few minutes first and then try again. If the problem persists, please contact our Railservice on +41 81 288 65 65 or at fpe@rhb.ch and describe the error in as much detail as possible (including the error message and a screenshot, if available).
