Sledging Preda/Darlux – Bergün

Ten kilometres of pure pleasure

Travelling by train and sledging – a combination that could hardly be more beautiful. If you are interested in sledging in Preda/Darlux – Bergün, Rhaetian Railway takes you straight to the winter fun on the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Albula route.

In Preda, you start on the closed Albula Pass road and take countless bends down to Bergün – six kilometres of sledging fun through snow-covered landscapes.

Those who like it even faster can opt for the steeper Darlux run – also known as the “Lauberhorn of sledging runs”. The chairlift takes you up the mountain, and you come back down again with a big smile on your face.

Sledging without accidents

How to do it:

  • Sledge only when seated

  • Wear warm clothing and sturdy, non-slip footwear

  • Smart people protect themselves: wear a helmet

  • Young children must be accompanied by an adult

  • No mechanical brakes or plastic bobs allowed

  • Stomach sledging and sledging together are prohibited

  • Dogs are not allowed on the sledging run

  • Walking up the slopes is prohibited – please use the cable car or lift

  • Adjust your speed to suit the track, visibility and other people

  • In case of emergency: secure the accident site – provide first aid – get help

  • Observe emergency signs and keep the escape route clear
