A groundbreaking school trip

UNESCO World Heritage, railway technology and nature for CHF 25 per pupil

Learn, marvel and explore – pupils from 3rd grade and above (years 5–11) can experience a special day travelling along the Albula and Bernina UNESCO World Heritage routes on a groundbreaking Rhaetian Railway school trip.

From 14 May to 18 October 2026, exciting guided tours, museum visits and teaching materials await – all for just CHF 25 per person.

Whether visiting the Railway Museum, Landwasser World, glacier mills or Camera Obscura, each offer is a fascinating blend of fun, natural history and railway history.

Important information on the groundbreaking school trip

Requirements: sturdy footwear, moderate fitness for mountain hikes, clothing/equipment suitable for all weather conditions. Suitable for primary school pupils from grade 3 and above.

Information on the national school day pass:

  • Applies to school trips of 10 or more people

  • Also costs CHF 15 for accompanying adults aged 25 and over. A maximum of two accompanying adults over the age of 25 are allowed for every 8 children/youngsters (aged 6 to 24.99).

  • Also applies to dogs, who can also travel for CHF 15. They also count towards the minimum number of participants (10).

  • Available only for 2nd class travel

  • Applies to journeys from Monday to Sunday, from midnight to 5 am the following day

  • Applies to the Half-Fare travelcard zone
