Note Engadin Ski Marathon (08 March 2026)

Due to the Engadin Ski Marathon, the track between Samedan and Pontresina will be closed to Bernina Express trains 951, 970 and 972 on Sunday, 8 March 2026. Replacement buses are operating on the aforementioned section of the route. Bernina Express trains 952, 975 and 977 are not affected by the line closure and can therefore run according to schedule.

Note: Diversion via Vereina (21–22 March 2026)

Due to construction work at Chur West station, rail traffic will be suspended on Saturday, 21 March and Sunday, 22 March 2026. The Bernina Express will therefore not run through the Albula Valley, but will be diverted via Vereina (Chur – Landquart – Klosters – Vereina Tunnel – Sagliains – Pontresina).

A seat reservation on the Bernina Express is mandatory. You can reserve your seat online, by calling +41 81 288 65 65 or at any ticket office in Europe (up to three months before departure).

Half-Fare travelcard, GA travelcard, 1-day-travelpass, municipal 1-day-travelpass, Junior travelcard, Swiss travelpasses, Eurrail and Interrail passes are valid. The seat reservation supplement must be paid in full for everyone.
