Self-service bicycle transport is not allowed on the Bernina Express. However, bicycles can be transported on the same route on regional trains. Bicycles cannot be transported on the Bernina Express Bus.

In the 1st class of the Bernina Express, you will enjoy a particularly high level of comfort and tranquillity. The seating arrangement is generous: there are two seats on one side of the aisle and only one on the other. This means fewer seats per carriage, giving you more space and privacy. The seats are wider, offer more legroom and a greater distance to the seat in front – ideal for a relaxed journey through the Alps.

In 2nd class, there are two seats on each side of the aisle. This means slightly denser seating and less space per person. The seats are narrower, but still comfortable and functional.

Regardless of their class, all carriages have large panoramic windows that extend to the edge of the roof – perfect for enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Swiss Alps in all its glory. In addition, all carriages are equipped with air conditioning, power sockets at your seat and free Wi-Fi, so you have everything you need while on the move.

Children under the age of 6 travel free of charge and do not need a ticket. Children and adolescents from six until the day before their sixteenth birthday pay half the fare. The seat reservation supplement must be paid in full for everyone.

Yes. Small dogs (up to 30 cm shoulder height) travel free of charge in a transport box. Larger dogs require a valid dog ticket. Please remember to bring all necessary documents (e.g. EU pet passport) for crossing the border.
