The Prättigau region between Landquart and Davos is both gently rolling and at the same time wildly mountainous. Hikers, bikers, those with an interest in culture and those who enjoy the finer things in life will all find something to write home about here.
The very first section of Rhaetian Railway track ran through Prättigau: 125 years ago the first trains made their way from Landquart to Klosters then, a little later, on further to Davos. 1,000 kilometres of signposted hiking trails and more than 500 kilometres of bike routes are waiting to be discovered by those looking for a sporting adventure. The chalk cliffs of the Rätikon, close to the Austrian border, present climbers with superb challenges.
Madrisa Land by Klosters is a place where every child's dream comes true. The 100-metre-long slide sets young pulses racing. Near St. Antönien, fun seekers of all ages can ride down to the valley on kick scooters. In winter, the sledging runs at Fideriser Heuberge and the small ski resorts of Danusa and Pany lure visitors.
Tip: The Salginatobel Bridge outside Schiers –the only internationally recognised landmark of its kind in Switzerland – links both sides of the Salgina Valley.

Prättigau is brimming over with highlights; there is something of interest for all ages.
Zoom down the 100-metre long giant slide, soar through air like an eagle from the tower, milk goats or ride ponies – all these wishes come true at Madrisa Land. Various attractions are waiting to be discovered in this imaginatively designed fairytale world.
Switzerland's longest sledging run offers twelve kilometres of sledging fun. A shuttle bus will carry you up the 1,100-metre climb to the start of the run in Fideris, where you can conveniently hire a sledge.
