The minute the Rhaetian Railway train reaches Alp Grüm, a magnificent view opens up towards the Valposchiavo valley. The waters of Lake Poschiavo glitter in the distance. The red train now makes the descent all the way to Poschiavo, which is noted for its good food and lively culture.

Explore the historic heart of Poschiavo, centred on its picturesque piazza, and discover aspects of the valley's history in one of the museums or the colourful "Spanish Quarter" built by returning emigrants. Enjoy the bountiful natural scenery of Lake Poschiavo before continuing on towards Tirano. At Brusio, the circular viaduct sets an incomparable architectural accent in the landscape of the valley; it also marks the end point of this wonderful excursion.
