The line between Samedan and Surava, harmoniously embedded in the landscape, is a showpiece from the time of the railway pioneers and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage RhB. There is time to linger with longer stops in the railway villages of Filisur and Bergün.

Steam-train rides will only take place if there is a sufficient number of participants. To find out whether the steam-train ride is going ahead, please check this website or call 1600 for information from 5 days before the trip date.

Drinks and snacks are available in the centre of the train in a bar coach and in a bistro coach.

On the Engadine steam rides is a Perron barley soup in Scuol-Tarasp (vouchers for CHF 8.- are sold on the train).

Under certain weather conditions, the event organiser will permit itself to operate the steam trains (Ge 6/6I, Crocodile locomotive) using electricity. For operational reasons, an electric locomotive will be attached to the front of the train between Küblis - Davos Platz, Thusis - Tiefencastel, Filisur - Davos Platz and Scuol-Tarasp - Ardez.

Taking dogs is not recommended due to the limited space available.
