Albula Railway Museum
A journey through time to the railway pioneers
The special exhibition entitled «A commitment to heritage: UNESCO World Heritage and Switzerland» offers visitors to the Albula Railway Museum fascinating answers to questions regarding the UNESCO World Heritage RhB and more than fifty other World Heritage sites located elsewhere in the world.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Rhaetian Railway as a UNESCO World Heritage site. But what does the label mean exactly? And why do we even need World Heritage sites? How do we go about dealing with a world heritage, and what significance do the corresponding sites have for humankind?
The items in the museum's exhibition rooms will attempt to answer these questions and deal with other interesting topics relating to UNESCO World Heritage sites. The other eleven World Heritage sites in Switzerland will also be showcased the course of a guest exhibition that changes every month. The special exhibition is on until the second week of November 2018.
