Arosa Line
The Arosa Line climbs 1,000 metres in altitude in just 26 kilometres – and has been doing so for more than 100 years now. The Rhaetian Railway actually seems to hover 62 metres above the Plessur River on the Langwieser Viaduct.

Padua
One of the oldest towns in Italy, Padua is home to the oldest botanical garden in the world. Created in 1545 by the University of Padua, the facility still preserves its original layout today. Galileo Galilei is just one of the notable scholars who has pondered the interplay between culture and nature here.

Palpuogna Lake
In 2007, the Swiss voted the Lai da Palpuogna as «the most beautiful place in Switzerland». From Preda, the mountain lake can be reached on foot within an hour. Gaze deep into the water and be mesmerized by the subtle gradations of colour. The majestic peaks of Piz Ela and Piz Rugnux are reflected in the clear mountain water. Fire pits are ready and waiting for a BBQ in summer.

Parsenn
The Parsenn ski resort is the largest of the area's five skiing destinations. From beginners to experts, there are slopes here to suit every skill level. The 12-kilometre downhill run from the top of the Weissfluh to Küblis is a classic. From Küblis, the RhB takes you back to Klosters or Davos.

Pontresina
It looks like a village from a fairytale: Pontresina features both stylish hotel buildings from the Belle Epoque era and houses in the traditional Engadin style with sgraffito wall decorations. Woods exuding the wonderful smell of Swiss pine and imposing glaciers surround the spa town, situated at 1,800 metres above sea level.

Poschiavo
Nad malebným městečkem Poschiavo se tyčí tři věže: románská věž katolického kostela, barokní věž evangelického kostela a středověká věž radnice. V autentických restauracích podávají bündnerští hostinští lahodné Pizzoccheri. Sílu na další dny dodá sklenka veltlínského vína. Viva!

Source of the Rhine at Lake Toma
One of Europe's mightiest rivers has its source in a small lake high up in the Surselva region. A lighthouse on the Oberalp Pass marks the source of the Rhine, as it starts its 1,233-kilometre journey to the North Sea at Rotterdam. From the top of the pass you can hike to Lake Toma in one-and-a-half hours.

Engadin / St.Moritz / Valposchiavo region
From Muottas Muragl at 2,453 metres above sea level you can look out over all Upper Engadin and the Engadin lake plateau. Val Trupchun circular hike
On this roughly three-hour hike, you have a good chance of spotting animals in their natural habit. From S-chanf the route takes you along the valley, mostly on flat paths or choose the more comfortable variant with the Express Parc Naziunel. From June to October rides the little train daily from S-chanf train station to the stop Varusch, the entrance to the Swiss National Park. The colours on show are particularly spectacular in autumn when yellow larch and green spruce vie to outdo one another.

Safien Valley
The intact natural landscape of the valley is dominated by the culture of the Walser people and their typically scattered settlements. This is a place to find peace and forget about time. Recommended: a break in the 300-year-old rooms of the Restaurant Tuurahus.

Great stories
Whether on a trip to the Land of Flowers, the Land of Colours or the Land of Lights – Clà Ferrovia always has a few tales to tell. Sometimes he gets so carried away that his moustache wiggles up and down. Magic portals known as «blonks» lead to far away places full of secrets.

Great surprises
Clà Ferrovia always has a surprise up his sleeve. During the trip, he and the kids make paper planes, for example, which they then fly from the Wiesen Viaduct. In the woods, the railway pirate shows the «short ones» what resin tastes like. And Clà has a gift ready to present to each child.
