Once round the Engadin and back again: the spectacular round trip starts from either Chur or Davos. You can hop on and off wherever you like – for example, in the rural village of Bergün, at the lake in St. Moritz or at the National Park in Zernez – before returning, relaxed and happy as can be, through the Vereina Tunnel and Prättigau region.
The journey starts off on the UNESCO World Heritage route through the Albula Valley. The train makes its way over viaducts and through helical tunnels as it climbs towards the Engadin and St. Moritz. A visit to the Segantini Museum or a gentle stroll around the Lake of St. Moritz are both highly recommended.
The trip continues along the River Inn to Zernez, the gateway to the Swiss National Park. You make up your own itinerary. Visit the home of children's character «Schellen-Ursli» in Guarda, immerse yourself in the warm waters of Scuol or take part in a guided tour of the mighty fortress at Tarasp.
Back on the tracks, you will leave Lower Engadin through the Vereina Tunnel and head back to Davos or continue on through the rural valley of Prättigau to Chur.

The Engadin circular tour offers any number of highlights, from the highest coffee-roasting plant to the village that is home to children's character «Schellen-Ursli».
The Albula and Bernina section of track is a masterpiece in terms of civil engineering and routing. Landscape and railway blend into one: in wide radiuses, ingenious man-made structures punctuate rugged valleys. The Landwasser Viaduct, the helical tunnels between Bergün and Preda and the Brusio Circular Viaduct all stand testimony to the early, pioneering days of the railway.
Elegance, style and class: St. Moritz is not simply a holiday resort. This is the place where Alpine winter holidays were born in 1864. Nowadays, fabulous restaurants and internationally famous hotels welcome guests from around the globe.
One historical building after another lines the village square: the Crush Alva restaurant, the Church of San Luzi and the Planta buildings. Cafè Badilatti runs the highest-altitude coffee roasters in Europe. The Zuoz-based family business has been serving excellent coffee for three generations.
In the village that is home to children's character "Schellen-Ursli", farmers, artists and artisans still sell their products. The hamlet on a sunny terrace high above the River Inn is known for its brightly painted houses decorated with flowers. The "Bell for Ursli" trail takes families through the story by Selina Chönz and Alois Carigiet.
The Bogn Engiadina Scuol has eight different pools, including an outdoor whirlpool heated to 34 degrees. An RhB spa package allows you to dive in for 20 per cent less. And with the RhB one-franc special, it costs you almost nothing to ski on the slopes of Motta Naluns.
The Prättigau region between Landquart and Davos is both gently rolling and at the same time wildly mountainous. Hikers, bikers, those with an interest in culture and those who enjoy the finer things in life will all find something to write home about here – coupled with true hospitality.
