The Bernina Express has air-conditioned panoramic cars with large windows extending right into the roof cove. Information on the route is also provided via loudspeaker. A seat reservation is required and a supplement is charged. You can buy your reservation conveniently online here. 

The regional trains are made up of standard coaches with ordinary windows. It is not possible to reserve seats on regional trains and no supplement is payable. You can find the timetable for the regional trains here.

It is generally possible to interrupt a journey. However, please note that you must continue your onward travel on the same day. If you want to resume your journey on board the Bernina Express, you will have to make a new reservation and a new supplement will be charged.

In 1^st class you benefit from generous space and plenty of leg room. 1^st class offers generous, comfortable single and double seats. Thanks to the lower number of passengers per coach, your journey is quieter and more relaxed.

2^nd class offers comfortable double seats with sufficient leg room.

The Bernina Express does not have a dining car. However, regional snacks and warm and cold drinks are available from the mini-bar service. The Bernina Express reaches Poschiavo / Tirano or St. Moritz around lunchtime. There are many restaurants available in both towns.
