Experience close-up the building of the new Albula Tunnel. As part of a joint initiative with the Albula Railway Museum, the Rhaetian Railway is offering regular guided tours of the construction site in Preda. Sign up now to take part in one of these public tours. Group tours in English can be organised separately on request.

The public tours will be taking place in Preda every Wednesday from the beginning of July to the end of September, starting at around 10:45 am and on Sundays at 1:45 pm. The number of participants is limited.

• Rendezvous point: At the information pavilion (from Preda railway station in the direction of Hotel Kulm Preda)
• Price: CHF 5.00 per person; payable locally to the on-site guide
• Duration of tour: 90 minutes

• The tour begins at the information pavilion, where the construction site guide will welcome you. The exposition in the pavilion documents the major project "New construction of the Albula Tunnel" during the construction period and offers visitors in-depth and audiovisual information. In addition, you can leave a personal "blast hole message". Browse through the visitors' entries or mark your message left behind: Blast hole messages. Afterwards, we will visit the construction site in Preda. This depends on the activities at the construction site. A construction site guide will provide you with competent information about the new construction of the Albula Tunnel.

Notes on organisation and participation:

• The guided tour will take place regardless of the weather. Waterproof clothing is recommended.
• Sturdy footwear is obligatory (hiking boots). A sure foot and good physical condition are preconditions for the participation.
• Children between 6 and 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is not suitable for children under six years of age.
• Given the situation of the site, wheelchair/pushchair access is unfortunately not possible.
• Please abide strictly by the site guide's indications and instructions. The site guides decide about the participation.

Group tours of the site are possible during the opening times of the Information pavilion (8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, from the beginning of May to the end of October). The group rate (max. 20 persons) is CHF 85.00. The scope and duration of group tours are the same as for normal public tours. Group tours are available in English, German, Italian, French and Romanic.
