Open scenic carriages

All the carriages of the Rhaetian Railway offer a great way to travel. But in our open scenic carriages, you can almost reach out and touch the sky. And the journey is one of the best there is.  

Our open carriages have neither glazing nor heating. Just the wind in your hair and fresh mountain air to enjoy. Apart from when you’re riding through one of the pitch-black tunnels!  Twelve 36-seat carriages and one 60-seater are available. What’s more: During the summer season, our open scenic carriages make regular runs on scheduled trains between Chur and Arosa and between St. Moritz and Poschiavo.
