Our ticketing system

Buy your ticket. Get on the train. Enjoy the ride. It couldn’t be simpler. It is heartening to know, as you contemplate the magical landscape from your comfortable seat on the train, that at least one aspect of your journey is reassuringly dull and conventional: your ticket.

«Conventional» means that you can choose between first and second class; single or return. That’s all you need to know. Now sit back and enjoy the ride! There is of course the usual set of discounts, such as half-fare concessions and general season tickets. Children aged up to 16 generally travel at half fare, and up to four children aged under six can travel free of charge if accompanied by an adult. There are naturally special group rates for kindergartens and schools.

The 1-day travelpass for the Half-Fare travelcard is valid for travel by train, boat and post bus as well as by tram and bus in most Swiss towns, cities.

The 9 o'clock travelpass is valid (in conjunction with a Half-Fare travelcard) on Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 onwards. It is not valid on Saturdays, Sundays or on public holidays.

Always the same! As in “same ticket”. If you are a frequent user of the same section of line, we recommend our multi-ride ticket. Using it couldn't be easier. Just stamp the ticket and climb aboard. That’s all there is to it. Not forgetting the savings offered.

Ride the same section (Within the Graubünden region) of line six times for 20% off the normal fare: That’s the difference between the multi-ride deal and a normal ticket. And this naturally also applies to the multi-ride ticket used in conjunction with a half-fare season ticket. Available for either first- or second-class travel. These tickets are also transferable.

Happiness is one of the few things that multiplies as it is shared. So what could be better than sharing your ride on the Rhaetian Railway through the wonderful landscape of Graubünden with a group of friends? It also costs less.

Groups normally benefit from a 20% discount on regular fares. School groups and Y+S (youth and sport) groups consisting of passengers aged under 25 pay a massive 60% less. Every tenth passenger normally travels free of charge.
More happy news? Good. The cost of your exploratory trip is only billed when the confirmed journey is booked. And you only have to pay if you if you actually participate in the group trip.
Provided there are sufficient seats, reservations can be accepted up to 3 pm, two days before the date of travel. But it is always best to book immediately.
