Prices of the monthly BÜGA card

The BÜGA card offers great, hassle-free deals on rail travel. The BÜGA card can also be suspended when required. Or replaced if lost. The BÜGA card also lets you change class. Making your enjoyment a little less limitless.

Would you like to change class with your BÜGA card? No problem. The BÜGA card offers a 50% reduction on each journey. The BÜGA card lets you upgrade to first class for the whole day from just CHF 25.00. A whole month’s first-class travel for an adult can cost just CHF 125.00. When you decide to upgrade with the BÜGA card, a pro rata amount is added for the still-unused time.

Forgotten your BÜGA card? Likewise no problem. Just make it known that you have forgotten your BÜGA card when you buy a normal ticket at the station. Report back to the ticket office with your ticket and BÜGA card within ten days to claim a refund (subject to an administration fee of CHF 5.00). Forgotten your BÜGA card with no time to get to the ticket office? Just report to the ticket inspector on the train, who will carry out an online check to verify the validity of your BÜGA card or issue you with a provisional ticket, which you should take to a ticket office within ten days in order to claim your refund (subject to an administration fee of: CHF 5.00).

Lost your BÜGA card? Just take the purchase receipt and a valid ID document to a station ticket office. A CHF 30.00 fee buys you a temporary BÜGA card valid for ten days. A replacement BÜGA card will be posted to you in the meantime. The same naturally applies in the event of loss or theft. (Limitation: the replacement BÜGA card cannot be suspended or cancelled, or refunds claimed). Lost or mislaid one-month BÜGA passes cannot be replaced.

BÜGA card suspension? If you do not require your BÜGA card for a time, just go to a station ticket office and suspend its validity. Subject to a charge of CHF 10.00. Maximum suspension 30 days; minimum seven days. Suspension can run to up to seven days before the expiry of the BÜGA card. (Exceptions: BÜGA-Plus Family child/youth, transferred GA, GA dog, monthly BÜGA card). Each suspension costs CHF 10.00. The first and final days of the suspension period are not included. You can use the suspended card on the train on these days (e.g. for a trip to the airport and back). So why suspend your card? The answer is simple: You receive a voucher corresponding to the value of the period of suspension. This voucher can then go towards the purchase of your next BÜGA card.

In order benefit from the preferential conditions of BÜGA-Plus Duo Partner, you must complete the residence declaration form and enclose it with your order.

BÜGA for the family

  Children and young people aged from 6 to 16 and from 16 to 25 respectively and living with their parents can benefit from the Kids' BÜGA, with even more discounts, provided at least one parent holds a Basic BÜGA or Swiss Basic card.

  As a parent, you benefit from even better conditions than those that come with the Basic BÜGA card. You just need to ensure that your Basic BÜGA for mother or father is used in conjunction with at least one Child BÜGA with the same period of validity.

Class upgrades with BÜGA-Plus

If you have chosen to use the Basic BÜGA for first-class travel, you can buy a BÜGA-Plus ticket for first or second class. If you have chosen to use the Basic BÜGA for second-class travel, you can buy a BÜGA-Plus ticket for second class exclusively.
Class upgrades for children aged 6 to 16 are free of charge, provided they are accompanied by a parent holding a valid first-class BÜGA ticket.
